Technical SEO analysis of a page

By Antoine Le Louët · Estimated reading : 4 min · References

Check the HTML and indexability signals of a public URL, then prepare corrections.

Argos examines one page at a time. This diagnostic does not provide keyword research, backlinks, Google rankings or a full content strategy audit.

What you can read in the report

Title and description

The HTML check looks for a title and a usable meta description. Their presence does not establish their editorial relevance or prove that Google will use these texts.

Structure and canonical URL

The report examines H1 headings and the presence of a canonical URL, among other signals. Google’s actual choice and consistency across all pages require additional checks.

Indexability signals

HTTP and HTML checks may identify robots.txt, a sitemap and robots directives. A detected signal does not prove indexing or ranking.

Before/after example: a specific description

Fictional HTML from an atelier.example product page, with no customer data or private report.

Illustrative evidence

<title>Bag</title>
<!-- no meta description -->

After correction — illustration

<title>Blue canvas bag | Atelier Demo</title>
<meta name="description" content="Explore the Atelier Demo blue canvas bag, its dimensions and care instructions.">

How to read it: The automated finding establishes that the description is missing. The corrected text is an editorial example: Argos does not validate its effectiveness in search results.

Suggested correction: Write a specific, readable title and summary that accurately reflect the page’s content, then publish them in the delivered HTML.

What to check next: Check the source code, rerun the audit and consult Search Console’s URL inspection if you own the property. Google may choose a different title or snippet.

Limits to keep in mind

A successful check confirms only the measured signal. Content strategy, query relevance, site-wide crawling and actual indexing require other information. No traffic or ranking is guaranteed.
